All other FE headers are going to be designed for the 16 hole CJ bolt pattern or the 8 hole passenger car bolt pattern. The 14 hole pattern is very similar to these patterns but IIRC the rear bolt holes are in a different location and must be plugged and redrilled to get "standard" headers to fit."

The Tri-Y design is very good at exhaust gas scavenging which gives better torque, especially at lower rpm's.
