Webcck-8对细胞毒性相当低，同样的细胞在cck-8检测后还可用于其他细胞增殖的检测实验，比如结晶紫检测法，中性红检测法或dna荧光检测法等。由于每种细胞对CCK-8的耐受力不同，因此若需要长时间孵育，先检测下细胞在加入CCK-8后的活力。 Webcck-8试剂加样量较小时，也可以用培养基稀释cck-8试剂后加样以减小误差。本试剂无细胞毒性，可以在检测后进行细胞培养，也可以再进行其他检测。某些实验中吸光度值太高，可以减少细胞数量，或者缩短加入 cck-8 后的培养时间。
